The GUIDON's Foreword 2022: The Presidential Candidates' Assembly aims to present the presidential candidates and allow them to expound on their advocacies and long-term plans for the country. "Foreword" refers to an introduction written by a third party and was chosen to reflect the presentation of candidates' long-term plans and the importance of fact-based decision-making.
Foreword 2022 also complements other voter’s education initiatives—such as Atin Ang Boto (AAB) initiatives and COMELEC-endorsed election events—that have a similar goal and audience.

The GUIDON's Foreword 2022: The Presidential Candidates' Assembly aims to present the presidential candidates and allow them to expound on their advocacies and long-term plans for the country. "Foreword" refers to an introduction written by a third party and was chosen to reflect the presentation of candidates' long-term plans and the importance of fact-based decision-making. Foreword 2022 also complements other voter’s education initiatives—such as Atin Ang Boto (AAB) initiatives and COMELEC-endorsed election events—that have a similar goal and audience.
The United Nations continues to emphasize the importance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in achieving “peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.” Member states such as the Philippines should treat these goals as fundamental principles for the creation and rationalization of their legal mandates, treaties, agreements, and programs.
With this crucial responsibility, The GUIDON’s Foreword 2022 will serve as a platform for Filipinos of various classes and vocations to challenge the Presidentiables to present the long-term goals they plan to prioritize during their term in office and the specific laws, programs, and projects that they plan to implement to achieve these.
